A brief bit of FUN for Halloween

Ghost Writers who are actually GHOSTS!

A brief introduction (to a brief little post)

My poor mother had to pack and move a family of seven practically every year of my childhood.

She managed to do a lot of really nifty parenting things anyway, but on Halloween she sometimes took the easy way out.

This happened most often when we lived somewhere that the weather was expected to be particularly cold.

Since we had to wear coats anyway, she reasoned, why not create costumes that could be tossed over them?

You got it – rifling through the older sheets, the costumes for a family of five little ghosts and their Mom were quickly produced with little more than a pair of scissors.

Soooooo – to give me a bit of time off to create a really cool Halloween costume this year, I am repeating an article written earlier – a bit of a different take on ghosts – no disrespect intended.

I believe the ADD/EFDers whose forays into the book world have been as varied as my own will especially enjoy it.

There are links to the sources, for those of you who are unaware of them.  Look for the slightly lighter text – which will turn red and underlined when you mouse over it.  (Hover before clicking for a bit of information about what you will find when you click — it will pop up.)

Writing of a Different Sort

The article below is from my personal blog on ADDerWorld, “the ADD Facebook” – where, in contrast to the more serious, informational, articles that make up the bulk of ADDandSoMuchMore.com, I tend to let my quirky take on the universe out of the box.

In re-posting this particular article, one of my personal favorites, I’m hoping to get more of you interested in hopping over, signing up and seeing what ELSE is available on that site — and maybe to encourage you to let YOUR creativity out of it’s box too.

Life doesn’t have to be so darned SERIOUS all the time
especially important for serious people.

I hope you enjoy it – and I hope you’re ALSO motivated to check out ADDerWorld.

ADD and the woo-woo fringe

GhostI’m a big fan of spirituality

I love all the spirituality books, but MOST OF ALL I love the ones that are what they call “really out there” — those ones that were ghost-written by actual ghosts, pen set to paper by one of those ghost-scribes.

Did you know there is a whole category of books written by disembodied spirits from beyond?

Yep – and there are folks (with bodies), right here on earth, who take dictation?

What a concept!

Did you read the one about simultaneous time?

I really don’t get why some people have such a hard time with this concept.
It makes perfect sense to ME that everything always happens all at once at the same time.

Fits MY picture of reality – how ’bout yours?

Anyway, according to at least one of these ghost-writers, it seems that every thought creates its own universe that continues on – all by itself, without any more input from its thinker.

Incredible idea, huh? But I believe it.

I mean, why would a ghost go to the trouble of convincing some scribe to
write a book and jump through all those publishing hoops just to LIE to us?

Stranger than Fiction

So here’s the REALLY amazing thing about these universes – WE live there too. (I mean, we do if we were the ones who originated the thoughts in the first place).

Now I know there are a lot of people who never think, but they might try to develop the skill if they knew what this ghost said about those worlds.

Speaking of thinking, by the way . . .

ADDers are often accused of being among the category of people who never do it, but I’m here to tell you that it’s not true and don’t let anybody ever convince you otherwise!

We think a bazillian thoughts at once. So it makes perfect sense that there would be a mechanism to complete our sentence stems FOR us, right?

I mean, if the universe is perfect and there are no accidents (ghost wisdoms, both), why would God create a whole bunch of us who rarely finish a thought unless there were some benefit to it? We’re here to help with the business of universe creation!!

ADDAdding Divergent Domains – who knew, right?

Off-Planet Vacations

Well here’s the REALLY amazing thing about these universes – we can GO there. I mean, before we die.

There’s this Quantum Jumping guy Burt who does seminars about it. Imagine that!

But it’s not necessary to fork over a bunch of cash to take this seminar to learn all about it. One of the ghost-scribes got a book published that sells for a whole lot less – Jane somebody-or-other.

Jane’s a ghost herself now, but when she could still take dictation, HER ghost Seth explained the difference between probable realities, possible realities — all kinds of alternate realities available to us whenever we need a break from this one.

Or need advice!

It turns out that those thoughts that created those alternate realities also created possible selves and probable selves who live there – exactly like us, only different.

THINK ABOUT THIS FOR A MINUTE

Somewhere “out there” is an us who can actually DO anything we ever thought about doing. In some other “out there” is an us who actually finishes all our unfinished tasks. (Some of them may already BE finished!)

Aren’t you just dying of curiosity to know what you do AFTER you finish something?

WELL – it turns out that, once we Jump, we can actually interview them!!!!

That, in fact, is the whole point.

HOW COOL IS THAT?!

BOY do I have questions prepared for those interviews!

  1. So, probable Madelyn (may I call you PM?), what does it feel like to actually finish something?
  2. What did you have to do to be able to DO that?
  3. Was it worth the time and effort – either to learn how or to DO that finishing thing?
  4. How do you decide what to finish next?
  5. So, besides finishing things, what else do you have time to do with your life here?
  6. Don’t you ever wish you could leave something half-done so you could have a little more variety and actual FUN in your life?
  7. Well, we’re almost out of time, PM, but it’s been a pleasure. We’ll leave you to return to finishing, with our thanks for your time, but before we go . . . how ’bout packing up a few of those finished projects for me to take to show to the folks back home? They’re not going to believe it’s even possible!

Back up Jack, you missed it. Reread that last one.

I have staff galaxies of staff, in fact — universes of perfect little finishing do-bees who, other than that finishing thing, are just like me.

Elf_Hat

  • They know what I like, what I want, what I meant, and they exist ONLY to complete things I don’t.
  • Kinda’ like Santa’s elves, only taller. With better taste in clothes.

So my new life begins as soon as I finish this Jane woman’s ghost’s book so I can go get MY new book published here in THIS world (already completed there in that one) – I’m sure it will be very helpful to ADDers everywhere.

It’s a kind of a ghost-interview self-help spirituality how-to that I really think will jumpstart a whole new genre.

Meanwhile, if anybody else already KNOWS how to do this Quantum Jumping thing, help me out here. I need to get to the universe where they balance checkbooks, pay bills and clean houses really soon.

It’s gettin’ DEEP in here.

Madelyn – This is lovely. I was given the beginning of a book on the mind a few years ago. I know all I have to do is return to that place of reception in order to finish it. Thanks for the reminder.

    • Thanks. It was fun to write. As you could probably tell, I read a lot on the “woo woo” fringe (but then, I usually read a lot on a lot of topics – rather large spiritual library for as many different viewpoints as I can find).

So, in the spirit of this article, all you need to do is jump to the universe where the mind book is ALREADY finished, right? (but I’ll bet your Probable AttentionCoach won’t tell you how it ends!)

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment.

I’ve read the Seth books from the 70’s. I’m not sure how I feel about them. I’ve decided to not decide to believe or not believe. 🙂

    • For me, it depends on the occasion. I pick and choose on whims of the moment and the needs of my emotions (and try not to think too much about what that says about “belief” — not that my opinion matters much anyway, where “reality” is concerned).

My “interpretation” would be nice tho’, huh? I need the finished version of my new apartment PRONTO. I’ve got a tiny Shih Tzu puppy coming!!
