  • Is your ADD diagnosed, but things seem to keep getting worse, so you’re concerned that there might be a whole lot more going on?
  • Does your short-term memory seem to be slipping?  Are you more and more frequently dropping things out, forgetting what you went into the next room to do, fumbling over names  — and nouns?  Do you secretly wonder sometimes if maybe you are sliding into some kind of atypical, early onset Alzheimers?

If you even hesitated over the questions above, you’ll want to be sure to tune in to this week’s Getting over Overwhelm free TeleClass — Thursday, May 31st, 2012.

ADD or NOT, don’t miss this TeleClass!

The Paris Muse of Time Management™ (friend and colleague, Dr. Monique Y. Wells) has invited me to share my expertise with her listeners, primarily solopreneurs, on one of her Getting Over Overwhelm TeleClasses.

This TeleClass series features experts from all corners of the time management and productivity universe (not that Monique needs the help, by the way — click a few links sprinkled through-out this post if you are unfamiliar with her work).

Brain-based Coaching Secrets that Beat Back Overwhelm

In my session, I will walk you through some of the ideas you’ve probably been too overwhelmed to find time to read here on

In addition, I’ll share some ideas that you may not have heard before (unless you have graduated from one of my ADD Coach trainings).

I will ALSO run through the “The Cliff Notes” of what neuroscience currently has to say about it all — in language you don’t have to have a Ph.D. in neuropsychology to understand!

NOT just for ADD!

The sad truth is that in today’s crazy/busy, high-tech, social marketing world, there are more items competing for attention than anybody’s brain can handle without overwhelm, ADD or not.

Simply put, the pace of the evolution of human neurology has not been able to keep up
with the speed with which technological advances have changed the game.

  • Our brains are not designed to handle what we require of them anymore.
  • Our hardware is overwhelmed by the demands of our software!
  • It’s past time to upgrade our systems!

Unfortunately, adding cognitive resources is not quite as simple a process as upgrading the memory chips in our computers!  So we need to learn work-arounds (what the computer geeks call “hacks”) — new ways to do what we need to do with the very brains we were born with.

Solopreneurs experience a double whammy. Try as we might, home life and work life refuse to remain separate. Our stress response escalates through-out the day, eroding our ability to beat back overwhelm — logarithmically!  How CAN we cope with it all and remain healthy and sane, much less get anything DONE?

In a state of overwhelm, EVERYBODY might as well have full-blown, diagnostic ADD.
Come learn why and what you can do about it

Looking through The ADD Lens™

The way I look at human behavior has been transformed through my experience as a [life] coaching pioneer who, subsequently, co-founded the entire ADD Coaching field.  My approach was developed as a result of my experience of the past two and a half decades of coaching and training vanilla* coaches and clients as well as ADDers
*vanilla = “unflavored” by what I call Attentional Spectrum Dysregulations, distinct from the more commonly used term, neurotypical

By accident or divine design, I was granted a unique vantage point from which to observe a great many behavioral challenges — in an environment where I simply could not automatically embrace “the conventional wisdom” about what was behind the behaviors, much less what might have a positive impact on intentionality and follow-through.

I was also “blessed” by the dearth of information available to help me put things together.  I had to locate and dig through research and information from many, many different fields, and conduct years of “one-rat studies” to find my answers.

Over the course of the past twenty-five years, I have developed a different perspective
on the challenges of productivity  — especially challenges stemming from over-commitment, fuzzy focus and distractibility, and an increasing need for prioritization at a level our grandparents could never have imagined!

(Not to mention our need to accommodate escalating expectations resulting from the increasing encroachment of the brutally insistent demands of new technologies like e-mail, smart phones, and social media – oh my!)

Come take advantage of what I have learned in the overwhelm trenches.
Register NOW, while it’s still on your mind.

Get in on the ground floor.  Learn what’s going on in your brain and what you need to do to work with and around your knee-jerk reaction to stress — so that you CAN move on down the Getting Over Overwhelm road. There is simply no good reason NOT to take advantage of this potentially life changing information while it’s still free.

And PLEASE, help us spread the word to your associates and loved ones.

This teleseminar will take place Thursday, May 31st, 2012.
ONLY those who register will be sent the link for the replay,

Oh no…I just received this post today June 2nd and the teleclass was for May 31st ! OMG! That’s kinda funny, don’t you think?

    • The biggest problems reaching the ADD crowd: how much lead time, when to announce, and how many reminders are “right”!
1-announce too early and most ADDers “file it for LATER” and miss things because “later” comes sooner than they realize
2- announce closer to the event and risk missing those who didn’t see it, didn’t get it immediately, etc.
3- send reminders and risk overwhelming everyone with e-glut.

So sorry I missed the window for YOU!

And what do YOU think? I'm interested.
