Having ADD is a mixed bag!  There are VERY many things about it that make me howl in frustration, and more than a few others that make my life difficult to lead.

I’ll bet you can relate!

But ADD gives us some advantages too, and I think its important to remember what it ADDs to our lives — especially when we’re having “one of those days” when our functional temperature is sub-zero!

A little gratitude helps us keep things in perspective.

So here is a list of ten things about my particular flavor of ADD that make me REALLY happy!  I’ll bet you can relate to some of those too!

Jump on down to the comments section and let me know what you love about YOUR particular flavor of ADD.

Remember – links on this site are dark grey to reduce distraction potential
while you’re reading. They turn red on mouseover.

Ten Things I LOVE about having ADD

 1.  My mind is greased lightning

 2.  NOBODY sneaks up on me in the street

 3.  Creativity is part of my genetic code

 4.  I got to stand in the “sense of humor” line thrice

 5.  I’m never bored (if you can’t hold my attention, I jump up to play in my head)

 6.  I am the essence of empathy

 7.  I’m rarely judgmental (unless, of course, around bombasts)

 8.  I can only think for myself — rarely even CONSIDER toadying to some party line

 9.  I am hard-wired to look for loopholes

10.  I can talk and listen at the same time

YOU PLAY TOO: Once you’ve read “About the Top Tens,” (or even if you haven’t!), use the comments section below to keep adding to this list. Make sure you ADD your take on it – don’t simply type “ditto” — and don’t invalidate anyone else’s world view, please.  ALSO, don’t get hooked on the “TOP” Ten part – whatever pops into your brain probably qualifies.

As always, if you want notification of new articles in the Top Ten or ADD Empathy Series – or any new posts on this blog – give your email address to the nice form on the top of the skinny column to the right. (You only have to do this once, so if you’ve already asked for notification about a prior series, you’re covered for this one too). STRICT No Spam Policy

However you do it – stay tuned. There’s a lot to know,
a lot more here already, and a lot more to come.
Get it now, while it’s still free for the taking.
